Installation of VmVisor v 5.0.0

I'm trying to install VMvisor v 5.0.0 on a server but I get the following error, once the server boots from the CD:
Loading /tboot.b00
Multiboot header is not found.
/tboot.b00: kernel is either invalid or corrupted.
Fatal error: 36 (Bad type)

Can anybody help me with this?

Hello firas123,

What you first should do is verify the MD5 checksum of the ISO that you have downloaded. Probably it is not correctly downloaded and contains some errors (you can check the filesize). I would suggest to download it again and see if that resolves your problem.

You can check your MD5 with the following KB: http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1537

VMware provides the correct MD5 sum on the download page for each file. Compare the MD5 sum output generated with the value posted on the VMware website. If the values do not match, download a new copy of the file as the one you have is corrupted or incomplete.

Good luck!

Hello and welcome to the forums.

Is your server on the HCL? What type of server is it?

Did you verify the checksum for the downloaded media?

Good Luck!
