Installation of VM in ESXi

Good Morning All

I am desperatly needing some assistance, as im at wits end with it all at the moment. :smileyconfused:

I have VMWare EXSi 5.0 - we are trying to create a new VM we have got so far now we are trying to install the OS on this VM but we are getting this error

"Unsuppoted Model - Installation not available"

the software we are trying to install is Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit - have tried almost everything and believe we may be just missing something.

Any ideas would be great

thanks for getting in touch. Yes VT is enabled in BIOS and all of the hardware/software is compatible

............forgot to mention what i am trying to install is Hp SmartStart CD

hm, Hp SmartStart CD looks like it´ts intended to be installed on a specific hardware. Like HP in this case.

That is probably impossible to install in a vm.

Installing from a regular OEM media or iso from microsoft would work.

please boot  directly from windos medai , if done downlaod new smart cd from website.
