Installation OS disk space requirement

Hi, All,

I install esxi 6.0 or 6.5 on MicroSD 8GB on HPE DL360 G9. 

I am planning install 7.0 on HPE DL360 G10. From vMware web, it said storage requirement at least 32GB.

I would like to verify that ESXI 7.0 will require so big space for installation?

VMware is recommending to stop using SD cards as boot device for ESXi 7.0 and subsequent releases. There have been many SD corruption issues.
