    Hello,

I would like to install Esxi to this server model but I recently discovered that the LSI controller installed on board isn't recognized by vmware when using RAID so I only can use it in a non raid configuration.

But I don't want to put my virtual machines into an non-redunded environment, so I'm thinking to a solution in order to solve this problem.

Somebody told that passing the noapic parameter at boot to esx solve the problem, I did it but it didn't work; so now esx boot (I installed it on a USB drive) but is unable to see my disks, so I can't create my datastore.

Somebody has a solution to suggest me?

    Thank you

Access the console and run fdisk  -l.  Are the disks visible?  Also run lspci -p to see if a module (driver) is listed for the onboard controller.   With some LSI controllers they are software RAID which ESXi does not support.
