Install ESXi 5.1 U3 On HP DL 580 G9 possible??

Hello guys~

I'm about to install VMware ESXi 5.1 U3 on HP DL 580 G9.

I heard that there is HP custumizing esxi image has disk controller driver can't configured in ESXi 5.1 with DL 580 G9.

When completed install, local volume can't visible.

Is it possible install VMware ESXi 5.1 U3 on HP DL 580 G9?(or is there another way to install?)

Please search for the controller in VMware Compatibility Guide - System Search for 5.1U3. That will tell the driver and firmware required for 51U3

I also did it, but there is only DL580 Gen7, Gen8, not Gen9..

This server is compatible with:

Hewlett Packard Enterprise

ProLiant DL580 Gen9

Intel Xeon E7-8800/4800-v3

ESXi 6.0 U2 6.0 U1 6.0 5.5 U3 5.5 U2

So maybe works with 5.1U3 or no, you will need try, but it will not be supported.
