Can somebody tell me, how instal Brocade 815 FC HBA to ESXi4 ? I have drivers from Brocade that works on ESX 3.5 fine. But I can't install them to ESXi4, because rpm command is not supported.
Welcome to the VMware Community forums. You'd first need to get a ESX(i) 4.0 driver for the HBA as there have been sufficient changes between 3.5 and 4.0 to require that. You'd then want to take the driver file and create a custom oem.tgz file which would also contain a modified simple.map file - http://www.vm-help.com/esx40i/customize_oem_tgz.php.
