Initial TCP connect on VM slow

Hi there,

are there any tuning possibilities deep in the ESXi 4.1 configuration, which helps speeding up the initial TCP connect to any VM. We experiencing some issues at the first connect attempt to a Webserver installed on a VM. After the initial delay, everything is working flawlessly. Any ideas or recomendations?

What is the guest OS? What is the underlying Physical NIC? how are they connected? Single switch?
