Inconsistent Folder Name - Folder Name Does Not Match VM Name

I have several VM defined where the associated folder name does not match the VM name.  Is there a way that I can rename the folder name to match the VM name.  Also, is there a way that I can rename the VM to match the folder name?

Thanks in advance,

Terry

I think if you right click the VM there shoudl be a rename option. Also if you storage vmotion the VM it should create correctly named folders in the new data store.

Folder (and files) name is taken from the FIRST name of the VM.

When you remove it the physical names are not changed.

If you have vCenter Server you can simple migrate the VM to another datastore and this will fix the names.

Otherwise you have to manually change but this is a little complicated.
