Importing vmx to ESXI Host

Hell all again, could anyone tell me if it is possible to import a vmx (vmware) virtual machine to a EXSI host using sphere client? If so, how can i do it?

I have a virtual machine created earlier with workstation and now i want to import it to my ESXI host and run it from vsphere client.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

the best way, in my opinon, is to use VMware Converter.

Export the VM from workstation to your ESX(i) host.  From Workstation, "File->Import or Export...", then follow the wizard.

You can use a V2V tools to do this.

If vmdk are in monolith format (one single file for all the data blocks and one file descripton), then you can also copy all the file with the datastore browser (or SCP or FastSCP, ...) and then add the vmx to the inventory.
