Hi all,
I havea virtual machine with Windows 2000 server set up as the web server. This morning the IIS stop responding (typing localhost in the address bar and the error message displayed "Cannot display the webpage"), I found out that the C drive in the virtual machine is almost full. I would like to know if it is the reason that the IIS crushed?
Thanks in advance!!
Eric
More of a Microsoft forum question - if the C Drive is basically full, then yes; this can cause your problem.
Add another virtualdisk to the VM, move the swap file to this drive and then try. If it works, then your problem was the C Drive being full

More than likely it is the reason for this problem. It has nothing to do with VMware though. Just clean up your disk and try again.

Take a look at IIS logs folder, it has dependency to grow until disk is full. Clean it regularly.

Also the logs being completely plain text, benefit greatly from NTFS compression (apply to the logfiles folder).
