I am unable to find the 5.5 web client .

I have vcenter server essentials installed and have been managing vcenter from the websphere client for some time. I have tried to install the web client to get the new features but I'm unable to find it anywhere.

The docs mention the vCenter Server 5.5 installation ISO.

I am unable to find this download. Can anyone let me know where this ISO file is located. It is definately not in my downloads.

Thanks to all

Javier

Welcome to the Community,

I'm not sure that I understand your question. You said that you were managing vCenter Server using the Web Client, but on the other hand you want too install it!? The Web Client is actually the server part which is most likely already installed on the vCenter Server. There's nothing (except for the Client Integration Plugin) that needs to be installed on the client that you are using to manager vCenter Server. In case you are using the vCenter Server Appliance, the Web Client (server) is included.

Hello André,

I meant I am currently using the vmware client. Not the web client. In the kb documentation it mentions an installation for the web client.

I am about to upgrade to vcenter 6.0 and would not like to get a surprise not being able to manage vcenter.

I am currently using vsphere essentials and vcenter  server essentials.

I cannot find the ISO mentioned in this kb article.

Thanks for your help

Javier

If you are currently running vCenter Server 5.5, please check whether the Web Client is already installed ("Simple Install" automatically installs it).

Simply open a browser and enter https://<Your-vCenter-Server-IP-or-Hostname>:9443
