I am trying to Disable TLS 1.0 and 1.1 on a 6.5 ESXi server.

I am getting an error when I try to rpm VMware-vSphereTlsReconfigurator (see attached pic)

What am I missing?  I am logged in with administrator rights, the rpm file is in the directory.

Hi @mntdoo @berndweyand ,

Based on the screenshot, it seems like you are running this tool directly on ESXi host. First you need to run this tool on a local machine(Windows or linux) and it will generate a script for vCenter and ESXi host. Once you have the scripts, you run those scripts on ESXi host.

Install the TLS Configuration Utility

Disable TLS Versions on ESXi Hosts

Hope that helps

No Vcenter, I only have the ESX host. I had already try expanding rpm and copying it to the ESX host. See attached pic

@mntdoo ,

Please try generating the scripts again and copy it to ESXi host. This time while running the script on ESXi host, try running it with root user.

 I re-generated the script and ran it as root.  I get the same error
