Hi,
In one of the host I could see only one path to , one single data store. when Iogged into check the path still shows one path.
But same LUN presented other host in the cluster can see all 4 paths and Checked with the SAN team its presented to the host and there is no issues in zoning.
How can we get all the LUN's oline ???
Thanks!
The issue has been resolved by reseting the HBA , not LUN has 4 active paths.
esxcli storage san fc reset -A vmhba1
Thank you All for you suggestions.
You don't provide much information.
iSCSI or Fibre Channel SAN ?
What type of SAN storage ?
All ports are 'up' ?
If iSCSi - use VMKPING to test communication.
If FC - all ESXi initiator WWPNs have been configured in the SAN storage host definition ?
How many HBAs are there at the host level and check the status of HBA.
Get the zoning information from storage team and confirm if the wwpn number matches with the host HBA,
paths are generally outside the ESXi scope, whatever the host see , it will show us in the properties. this is something which need to be revisited at the configuration level.
iSCSI or Fibre Channel SAN ? Ours is FC storage
What type of SAN storage ? IBM SVC
All ports are 'up' ? Yes... host can all the paths for other LUN's.
If iSCSi - use VMKPING to test communication. : NA
If FC - all ESXi initiator WWPNs have been configured in the SAN storage host definition ? Yes
Have you tried to restart the host?
How many LUNs do you have connected to that affected host? Can you be sure that you didn't hit configuration maximums for your host - number of connected storage devices and number of connected paths?
