Hyper-V on ESXi 4.1

Hi,

Am I correct in thinking that I cannot use Hyper-V in a guest OS on ESXi 4.1? I know the hardware can support is as I have used Hyper-V on the physical machine previously. Is this possible on the paid editions?

Thanks in advance

Regards

Chris

Actually Hyper-V and Xen cannot run in a VM.

Not sure on KVM (but I suppose the it also require a physical system).

This because they check specific hardware support.

Hyper-V requires VT support for the CPU. Since VT is not passed through to virtual machines you cannot run Hyper-V in a virtual machine.

If is for testing or lab purpose you can consider to use a dual boot option (for example ESXi on USB and Windows con local HD).
