We are busy with migrating our Windows 95/98 enviroment to Vmware. So we could, in a controlled manner, make that enviroment absolete. (which needs at least 5 more years).
To acces the screen of a virtualized win98 enviroment we use the vnc-server from the esx-server. This is working great.
The only problem we found was that the numpad area of the keyboard didn't work. Windows 98 interpret it als arrow movements.
We (finaly) found out that in the bios of the VM you have force the Numlock options.
A simple configuration, but to find it..... pfffffff....... painfull and anoying.
