How to migrate XenServer Linux VM to vSphere 5

Hi,

We are in the process of migrating from XenServer to vSphere 5.

Migrating the Windows VMs is easy but am struggling with Linux VMs.  Can anyone who has done this migration to VMware help with removing XenTools/ What's the best way to do it? The distro specifically is Centos.

Also, can you just point converter at the linux vm and it will automatically install the agent or must it be done manually with Linux?
