Hi expert,
How can we easily know whether the vmware tool is installed as complete setup-type after installing it?
In the case of Windows, is checking registry the easiest way?
Sometimes I face troubles by installing the vmware tool as typical setup-type, so I would like to check this.
Thanks
Hi,
Not sure how to check the installation type from the registry, however I can suggest one thing to find if the installation is non typical type
Generally, vShield driver wont be installed when typical method is selected. You can check if the vshield driver is loaded in the machine and can confirm if the installation was typical or not.
To know about the vshield driver name , following the given articles

Hi Suresh,
Thank you for your reply. The way to confirm the installation type for vmtool seems to be only the driver like vshield driver, I understand.
Thanks
