What kind of datastore do you have? iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS?

If iSCSI or FC you would have to have the SAN adminstrator to increase the LUN, then from the vSphere client use datastore increase for the VMFS partition to grow.

You have to tell us some more information about your environment.

But maybe that is for you.

Welcome to the Community..

Which version of ESX/ESXi are you running?

What type of storage are you using? If iSCSI or FC you LUN has to be extended first on Storage side

Once you the LUN extended login using vSphere Client, Select datastore-> Properties->You will Increase button

Might using this procedure that aravinds post works for you (Once you the LUN extended login using vSphere Client, Select datastore-> Properties->You will Increase button)

Check limitation of VMFS too http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=100356...

Good luck
