How to import a template?

Is there any way to import a template that is on the Datastore but not registered to a host?

Recently I removed a host from the cluster and re-added it to correct some logging issues. There were no VMs registered tot the host except for a template. I figured it would get added back once I re-added the host to the cluster. Unfortunatly it is not showing up at all in vCenter however it is still located on the datastore.

browse the datastore in which the template is on, find the .vmtx file, right click on it and "add to inventory"
