I installed ESXi 6.0.0 on a machine. When I connect to it with a browser, it displays a page about VMware vCenter Converter Standalone. That doesn't help me... I need the management client, but I cannot find any resource that tells me exactly what URL would get it. And I need to get it from this machine, because that network is not connected to the Internet.
Use following KB and download vSphere Client version 6 which is suitable for ESXi 6.0

Hi John,
the first link on the Web welcome page of the ESXi host is
and this is exactly what you are looking for-
There is no reference to the Converter though, so I'm not really sure at what page you were looking?!
Andreas
It doesn't give me a link for vSphere Client. It gives me one for Converter. I have no idea why... I installed from the CD ISO and then went to http://my-host and that's what I get.
What is the actual URL that will result in me getting the client?
Great, but how do I get it from my ESXi host? It's a huge PITA to get something from the Internet.
Dear Sysjno,
Please navigate to the IP address of your ESXi host, that is https://ipaddressofesxi
You will be navigated to Getting started page.
You can click on Download vSphere Client.
.
Goto this link to download vSphere Client for all versions (including 6)
