How to get ESXi host to reconnect to datastore on iSCSI target...

Is there a way ot have the ESXi host re-scan iSCSI targets when the connect is lost due to a restart of the storage host?  I have looked about the settings for something to make that so and have failed to find something.

Please ,ake sure that, if the partition type is inadvertently changed, any ESXi hosts that had already identified that datastore as VMFS will continue to be able to see that datastore. However, if those hosts are rebooted, they will no longer be able to see them.

Just to be clear, no one is changing any partition types. The physical Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 system that provides the iSCSI target is rebooted for updates, and after it is backup, the ESXi 5.0 host does not re-connect to the datastore located on that resource until someone logs into the vSphere Client and does a Rescan All.

And so, my question is, can it be that ESXi 5.0 will automatically rescan and reconnect when the iSCSI target is back online?
