How to find why a VM was off

Hi it happened that some VMs have been found powered off.

I see in VCenter that system account powered them off.

I have an 2 hosts infra with ESXi 4.1

Is there a way to find out in ESXi logs what happened ?

Consider i do not collect the logs into a DB as Kiwi

Thanks in advance for help

Create a log bundle ASAP and get this over to vmware support (don't leave it as the logs get overwritten).

Can be almost impossible to determine; however sometimes excess snapshots or snapshot consolidation helpers can cause this (IIRC, there is a limit of 16 helpers? - could be wrong!).

as above, another reason is also due to insufficient space in the datastore. i will leave it to vmware support to answer you ..
