How to evaluate performance impact of more than 8 vCPU assigned to a VM with vSphere evaluation mode

Hello,

I wish to evaluate the impact on performance of  the number of vCPU assigned to the VM hosting an application.

I reinstalled the ESXi server in evaluation mode to have Entreprise plus evaluation licence but I am still limited to 8 vCPU/VM

Is there a way to evaluate the impact of an Enterprise or Enterprise plus licence on performance?

Thanks

Hello and welcome to the communities.

What version of ESXi are you working with, and how may physical processors and cores are in the host server?

What is the hardware version of the virtual machine?  Make sure you are v8 or higher for greater than 8 vCPUs.

What is the maximum number of pCPUs the guest OS supports? VMware won't let you add more than that limit without using a multicore vCPU (again, you need to be v8 or higher virtual hardware)
