The 3D support is said to enable the possibility for the Windows Aero GUI, so test with a Windows 7 if possible.

The HD audio has no GUI control, but you could edit the vmx file manually to add it. The 3D graphics is a checkbox on the virtual VGA adapter.

remember 3d graphics will not even be close to phsucal powered 3d. so no running games or cad.

See the link in my reply above, it should show you the specific lines needed. It is however not very easy added and not part of the vSphere 5 documentation, so it is somewhat unclear to me why this was advertised as a new feature for vSphere 5.0.

but in my vm enable 3d option is greyed out. I don't know why?

yep.....is it OS Specific? Because i am using windows server 2003.

Yes, it is only available for guest operating systems which VMware supports 3D on.
