How to delete _deviceImage-0.iso from datastore?

Hi all,

I installed a customized linux in my ESXi host. After installation, I can see, _deviceImage-0.iso file is present in VM's directory. I want to remove that image because if I restart the VM, that image will get mounted and starts installation again. Any idea guys?

Or is there any alternate way to prevent the automount of this iso(even after I press 'reset' button)?

Thanks,

Renjith KM

edit the VM - look under CD drive settings and make sure the connect at power-on option is not checked

Thank you! Is there any way to auto-delete '_deviceImage-0.iso' from the datastore after installation?

No - you will have to delete it manually.
