How to connect to VMware VSphere Hypervisor via internet

Hello,

I'm setting up a server with VMware Vsphere Hypervisor and want to connect to the server via Internet, so not in my local network. If this can, what ports I need to open to connect to the server at another place? And if I open that ports can I just connect to the server using my external IP, or do I need to configure something?

Welcome to the community.

As a first step open this.

Open ICMP between destination and source. to if there is a communication.

Next these deal with esxi access.

Port 443 for vsphere client to esxi connection.

port 902 for console access to virtual machine

port 22 for esxi putty access.

refer the below source link for more information.

When you say 'connect', you mean using the vsphere client? You would be better to use a vpn or other remote access solution to get onto you LAN rather than expose a esx host to the internet.
