Hello,

I want to connect an APC Smart UPS via USB to an "SBS-2011 Virtual Machine" on an ESXi 5.5 Server.

Is it possible ? Which Steps should i execute for this target ?

Thanks

if u use usb  or serial port the powerchutte software installed vm should be in one host and u can not move the vm. better use network management card to access the ups via TCP/IP.

Hello ,

I only have one Host . The USV only has an USB Connector . It means it is enough when i add an new USB Controller to the VM . Connect the USB Cable with the ESX Host and install the Powerchute Software on the Windows VM ?

Hi

Welcome to the communities.

I am agree with dhanarajramesh and again suggesting to use NIC instead of serial port.
