I was trying to upgrade ESXi 5.5 to 5,5 and during installation it crashed and Server had to be rebooted. When I tried to install again, it crashed again mentioning that" disk ......was not found after rescan". Even it shows the lists of all disks before installation of 5.5. So now I have no ESXi on the system and I can't install any ESXi version.So I have only 1 option left, to install a fresh copy of ESXi and override the datastore. But in this case I will loose my all VMs.
Is there any way to install the ESXI 5.5 by toubleshooting the above error or to access the hard drive and copy the datastore (where all my VMs are located) to another location such as USB drive.
