How to :Wake on Lan, Windows 7 machine

Hi!

Im trying to use WOL with a Win 7 machine.

Is there any articles about this?

I know that not all NIC are supported. We have three host that have supported NICs. And I have placed the machine on one of them. I have installed and set up a WOL software on the Win 7 machine and my local PC.

Using UDP I can send a message to the computer. But I cant seem to wake it up when I have shut it down. And UDP seems really slow...

Any ideas?

As I remember WOL does not works on a VM on ESX/ESXi.

I've tried some time ago to test VMware DPM in a virtual environment, but I've found no way to do it.
