How to Share vmdk between the VMs

Dear Friends,

In our infra we have got requirement that Oracle cluster should be build without using RDM. And the suggested plan is

1. Add the multi-flag to partilcular scsi port.

2. Select the paravirtual scsi controllers while adding DATA disks.

Questions are

1. Is there any way other than adding multi-writer to share the vmdk between the VM's. What are the limitation and recommendation.

2. What is the para virtual controller, what is the effectness of this controller. i found that there few modes of PSCSI controllers are available i.e none, virtual and physical. Please elaborate the same.

Thanks Steve.

Could you share the documents which can give more information about the Para virtual SCSI controller.

I found one but it don't contain the information about different Modes(virtual, physical and none) of PSCSI Controller.
