Hi All,
I have created a new machine for vCenter 5.1 Installation, the system has been joined to domain. If i try to install vCenter using Local Admin account it gives me following error message :
"The user account currently logged in is not an active directory user. Automatic discovery of identity sources will not work"
I have been installing older version of vCenter using local admin account but never faced such issue.
Please suggest what this error is about?
Do I must need to install vCenter using domain account? (suppose if there is no domain what will happen)
Please reply.
Thanks and regards,
Khurram Shahzad
Hi
You shouldn't have to as long your AD domain has a proper
indentity source configured to check:
Hi
looks like the SSO piece is looking to find an Id source, vcenter 5.1 has a prerequisite
for SSO and needs to discover a ssource take a look at
to manually create one
And do we still need to perform the manual steps if we install vCenter using domain account?
