How to Install Intel CMDTool2?

Hello,

Intel CMDTool2 is a tool for managing an Intel SCSI Controller, and supports many of them

(SRCSAS18E, SRCSAS144E, SROMBSAS18E, SRCSASJV, SRCSASRB, SRCSATAWB, SROMBSASFC, SROMBSASMP2, SROMBSASMR, SRCSASPH16I, SRCSASBB8I, SRCSASLS4I, RS2WC040, RS2WC080, RS2MB044, RS2BL080, RS2BL080DE, RS2BL040, RS2PI008DE and RS2PI008)

It's very useful to manage disks, and monitor raid status (!).

Intel provides an .rpm with the executable, and I put it in /opt/MegaRAID/Cmdtool folder.

All libraries are alredy installed on ESXi distro, but it doesn't seem to recognize the controller; the output of "CmdTool2 -AdpAllInfo -aAll is blank !

How can I install it?

..or there is another way to manage raid controllers? (without passthrough)

You can't install these tools to ESXi. ESXi is NOT a version of Linux and and installable executable application would need to be specifically written for ESXi. If you have a non free version of ESXi then you can use SNMP to monitor the drives but that would be about it.
