How to Find the RAM Serial number in ESXi 6.0 with Putty

Hello,

How can I find the Memory serial numbers of my server ? i can't Reboot it as Production is running .

ESXI 6.0 Version .

There's no such command. You have to shutdown host and need to check that physically.

However, you can find RAM spare part number via ILO administration page for replacement or other purposes.

You can't see serial number of RAM from ESXi, but what is relation between rebooting and serial number of RAM ? Why do you need that with reboot perspective ?

Hi,

one option is to power off  the server and see the serial number of RAMs , i dont want to do that ,  is there any command to RUN in esxi  host and fetch the serial numbers all all RAMs

You can use the command <smbiosDump | grep -i -A5 "Memory Device" | less>.

You should see a 'Serial' field under each memory device entry. Can you share the sample output?
