Welcome to Community..

What is the reason for converting vmdk to VHD, vSphere products will only support VMDk

You can look at Starwind free converter

Hi,

No it is not possible as .vhd and .vmdk are two different file format supported for two different virtulization layers.

.vhd file format is supported under Microsoft Hyper-V and Virtual PC whereas

.vmdk file format is supported under VMWare vSphere and Workstation

If you want to convert the file from .vmdk to .vhd there are tools available but they will work only with their specific supporters.

Thanks n Regards

VHD formats are not supported in ESXi and VMware workstation.

If you want to use VHD then you have to use Microsoft products

No VMware product supports this today. Why would you prefer .vhd over .vmdk?
