How do I use an emty dell VD for storage on my SQL Server

Good morning,

I have a Dell server with two Virtual Disc setup.

I installed ESXI on the one Dell VD and it is up and running just fine with a VM of Windows 2008 R2 and SQL 2008.

What I want to do I have the SQL data storage on the other Dell VD but can’t figure out how this would be done.

Any help would be great.

You can assign free space of the storage to a FreeNAS VM and create a virtual disk and assign it to other ESXi servers vi iSCSI.

Other option is Virtual SAN that you need to vCenter and individual license for that.
