How do I create a distributed switch when my esxi hosts only have one nic

Hi Guys,

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I have 3 esxi hosts that I'm trying to create a dvswith across.  The problem is that I have only one nic in each physical system.  That vmnic0 is currently assigned to the management vkernel port as it normally is when you first install a esxi host.

When I got to create the dvswitch, the uplinks page doesn't show any nics available to use.

How do I use use vmnic0 in my newly create dvswitch?

Thanks for any help!

After having created your dvswitch, you can go to the networking inventory view, right click on the dvswitch and Add host, you will have an assistant to help you migrate the vmkernel pg as well as the pnics...

or else, while creating the dvswitch, you have the options to directly migrate the hosts Smiley Wink
