How do I backup free ESXI VMs?

Hi all,

I've tried using Veeam but for reasons beyond my comprehension they dont support free ESXI! The only other way I can think of is to do OVF exports of each VM but that is very cumbersome.

I am using ESXI 5.0.

The reason commercial backup application don't work, is that VMware's API is restricted with the free ESXi Hypervisor license. Your options are either to license e.g. a vSphere Essentials Kit or take a look at alternatives like ghettoVCB (http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-8760).

Another solution that supports image-based backup of virtual machines running on ESXi Free is Thinware vBackup (www.vbackup.com).
