Hi all;
How can I find the management object ID (MOB ID) of a ESXi 6.0 host?
Thanks
How to find MOB ID of a host connected in a HA cluster :
https://VC_IP/mob ( Authenticate to VC by providing admin username/password)
Click on content ---> rootFolder ---> childEntity ---> hostFolder --->childEntity ---> host
For every host , there will a MOB ID ( something like host-13, host-16 etc)
The one with highest ID will be chosen as master , if all the hosts are connected to exactly same number of datastores.
Not that MOB-ID host-9 > host-16 or host-25
The Managed Object Browser is disabled by default in vSphere 6.0 (2108405) | VMware KB
Thanks for you reply, but I think it does not relates to my question, maybe I did not provide more explanation regarding to my question. Please refer to the following statement:
In the election process of HA functionality, in the case that there is tie between hosts, then the host with the highest management object ID (MOB ID) is chosen as the master.
Any ideas?
Thanks
