How can I enforce password maximum age for ESXi 4.1 Server(force to change after xx days)

You cant on an individual server. However, you CAN if you integrate your ESXi to an AD and set the rules in AD

My ESXi servers are not in the part of domin. Is it any artical which explain we can't configure password age on ESXi servers.

We can play around the password settings like limitations, pattern, and all. But esxi does not specifically enforce a age on password age, since it is again a scratched down linux version, it does not have additional settings like in Linux /etc/login.defs


You can still use other software mentioned in this thread for your criteria  Security Hardening on ESXi, not esx?

As per the "VMware vSphere 4.1 Security Hardening Guide" Console OS Password Policies is not applicable(Page- 6) for ESXi servers and document says Lockdown mode is available on any ESXi 4.1 host that we have added to a vCenter Server. Enabling lockdown mode disables all remote access to ESXi 4.1 machines(Page-48).
