How PDL can be detected in NFS?

What is mechanism vmware supports for the PDL in NFS as we have SCSI Sense codes in VMFS. What we have for detecting same in NFS?

Hi there,

I'm not entirely sure of the internal mechanism ESXi uses to detect PDL in NFS datastores (though whatever it is I seem to remember it was pretty broken in 5.5 U1!)

However for the purposes of monitoring and troubleshooting there's ping, vmkping, and netcat, or enable nfsstat3 logging via esxcfg-advcfg -s 1 /NFS/LogNfsStat3 that might be of some use?

AFAIK, there is no equivalent of PDL in NFS. NFS treats PDL also as APD and handles it that way. I could be wrong, but that's my observation so far.
