Hot vmdisk extend vs cold

Hello,

I'd like to know if anyone as any info on or come across any information relating to issues like disc corruption, if a vm disk is hot extended vs cold extended?

I've recently been advised that its a risk to hot extend vs cold extend. Personally I love hot extend, I've used it so many times and it saves on server downtime.

Welcome to the Community,

as long as the guest OS supports hot extending the disk/file system, I don't see a reason why this should cause data corruption. I've done this many times and never ran into data corruption issues.
