hi all,
Yesterday we migrated our firewall (checkpoint to ASA) in one of our networks and basically 3x ESXi hosts are showing as "not responding" and all VMs as "disconnected".
We created new rules in the firewall as vcenter and hosts are on different networks and separated by the firewall. For tshoot'ing purposes we allowed all between vcenter and hosts, but still no joy.
I have restarted the vcenter server service on the physical vcenter and it briefly worked, but then it went back to the "not responding" status.
All hosts can be accessed directly via vsphere client, all datastores are connected to the hosts.
I will give vcentre a reboot to see whether this gets fixed.
I was wondering how I could find out/tshoot this. I have seen some VMware KBs but none led me to find the cause
Comments are appreciated
It was me not allowing 902 back from hosts to vCentre
all working fine
