Host keeps getting the same host profile after booting from Auto Deploy

I have used Auto Deploy in my environment to preform a statefull install of ESXi 5.5.

In the deploy rule I've created for the host I've set a host profile that will be attached first once the host finishes booting and joins the VC.

After applying the host profile so the host becomes statefull I've noticed somthing odd.

Even if I detach the host profile from that spesific host, each time that I remove the host from my VC and add it again it will reattach that spesific host profile.

Is there a way to stop that behavior from happening, or is it something intended from using Auto Deploy.

You need to removed the Autodeploy rule that applys the host profile. This can be done via powercli or by using the Autodeploy GUI fling. You can also assign a pattern to the profile rule so that it will only applies to hosts to that match the pattern. One item to note is that without a profile the host boot into maintenance mode.
