Host VM files on ESXi drive?

I have a single server with a single HDD. I wish to run 3 guests on this. Is it possible to have the ESXi OS and the VMs on the same drive? If so, how would I accomplish this? I have not started the install yet, still planning.

Yes, you can use the local storage in the ESXi host to store your VM's.  Once you have everything setup, you would just select the local storage as your storage resource when you create your VM's.
