Host Hardware status not showing data

    Hello Everyone,

We've performed a clean install of ESX 6 on a IBM X3690 X5 7148 which has the latest firmware updates.  The Host status sensors are not showing any information.  The CIM service is running, and I cannot find any custom drivers or vib files to apply to the host.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Hi,

To work around this issue, assign administrative user accounts and groups to the Global Permissions within the vSphere Web Client. To assign these permissions:

  1. Log in to the vSphere Web Client with the Administrator@vsphere.local or an account holding SSO Administrative privileges.
  2. Navigate to Administration > Global Permissions.
  3. Click the Manage tab.
  4. Click the + icon to open the Global Permissions Root window.
  5. Click Add.
  6. From the Domain drop-down menu, select your respective domain which holds the user or group.
  7. After locating the group and pressing Add, click OK. Ensure that the user account is assigned the role Administrator
  8. Click OK.
