Host CPU Ready

Can anyone give me details on how HOST CPU Ready is calculated?  I am comfortable with single VMs, but when I examine cpu.ready.summation of a host, it doesn't seem to add up in my mind.  I am obviously missing a step somewhere, but, in short, how exactly does VM CPU Ready relate to host CPU Ready?

You can use this calculator for CPU RDY:

CPU Ready only apply to VMs.

There is no CPU ready calculation for the ESX host.

Check the below links for your reference.

I was in same situation and was trying to calculate etc but I have found using ESXTOP it makes alot easier.

Connect to a host using SSH

type esxtop

press c

and R to arrange by Ready time.

Here you can see in percentage and I think Ready time should be less than 5% to 10%.
