Host Baseboard Management Controller Status

Hi

I am getting the following "Host Baseboard Management Controller Status" on my 3 ESXi hosts. 2 are DL 380 G5's and 1 is DL380 G6.

I get the warning if I use ESXi 4.0 or ESXi 4.1, and also whether I use the HP or standard VMware ISO.

Any one know why?

Conrad

That's iLO complaining. Usually, you get the warning because you've not configured iLO with an IP Address.

You can get the warning to go away by either:

1) Configuring iLO with cabling and a valid IP address.

OR

2) Going into the iLO BIOS on bootup and disabling iLO on that server.

thanks bsti,

now I know what it is I can do it at my leisure, it makes sense because the iLO is not plugged in at the moment as we have just rewired the whole server room cabinet.
