Home lab hardware

hello

i currently have 2 hp g6 servers running EsxI5.5 connected directly to my home router that the whole family uses. That router handles dhcp right now.

I Would like to setup a windows environment with dns  dhcp, domain conot rollers.

Giving the lab a different ip range be enough To separate them? Or woild I need to get a managed switch?

Just giving a different subnet will not works like expected since machines can get IP address from any of your DHCP servers... the better way to do is isolate them in a new L2 domain, using VLAN or physically separated.
