High CPU Usage while IDLE in XP on vsphere 5.1

Hello Together

We have 20 virtual machines (Windows XP SP3 32 bit) which are using constantly 600 MHz per host in IDLE Mode.
This means that by default more than 50 % of the guest CPU is used.

when i open the Task manager on the Virtual Machine i get the some Peaks of the CPU every 30 Seconds.
So i started to log the VMware Tools and found the following log entrys:

In the Case of the "peaks" i have read the following articel of Vmware and followed the Step by Step Guide From M$

Is it right that the VMWARE KB is only for vsphere 4?

I also read that the Performace counters "VM Processor" and "VM Memory" are not in all Environments available.

So must the be available for me or not?

I had also created an new Virtual Machine with XP and there are no peaks and the CPU was on 24 MHz in IDLE
After Updating SP3 and VMware Tools the CPU reaches 99 Mhz in IDLE.
The performance counters are also not available in this machine.

The Log on the "fresh" XP-Vm is the same Smiley Sad

I don't know why the machines are peaking every 30 seconds to 60 % and i hope you can help me.
