Hanged while Patching

ESXi 5 got hanged while patching. We are patching ESXi host using update manager.

What are the possible reason ?

What logs can i check ?

BIOS version is old.

What is your server specification and BIOS version?

Also let me know, what is your ESXi build number and you want apply which patch on that?

you could check the update manager logs and hosd.log  to see what exactly caused to stop responding .

location of logs   hostd can be found on /var/log/hostd

Thanks for your help.

It turned out to be an Hardware Issue. There was known issue of Memory Leak with iDRAC.
